The Boise Idaho area was often ranked in the top 10 cites hardest hit by the housing bust, or as I like to refer to it the "over supply of money bubble".  Now we are on the flip side of that and many other areas including the Boise area is experiencing a pretty strong rebound.

Prices rose 2.5 percent during the third quarter, according toFNC., which observed prices in the 100 largest metro areas in the country. The company found that national home prices have risen 11 percent since the beginning of the recovery, a timestamp that FNC considers to be the start of 2012.

Even though Idaho isn't cited in this article mostly due to the size of our market compared to the MSA surveyed our numbers are similar in growth to many of the others listed.

A great 40 second overview of the national housing market. In the Boise area we have seen housing sales slow just a bit in October and pick up again in November. If you would like an update on your specific neighborhood just drop us a line.

Do you check out Zillow or other online valuation sites for your homes value? If so you need to watch this. In my research these sites are often off and way off in many instances.

In more than two-thirds of the country, housing affordability has dipped to pre-housing bubble levels, creating opportunities for those looking for a bargain. Home prices are expected to rise in 2013 due to fewer distressed sales and the impending housing shortage.
