Did you know that 75% of all homebuyers start their home search using the web? That’s right, it’s not that newspaper, it’s not the home magazines, it’s not open houses or even fore sale signs. Think about it. You’re on the web right now. Probably looking for a home. In fact why would someone look in the newspapers when you can look on the web and view every home listed for sale? Well we both know the answer they wouldn’t they would choose the web.

| The first question:
What type of web site do they look at? Well, we all know there are thousands of real estate web sites to look at. In fact most every Realtor has one. That does not mean that people are looking at their site. In fact most web sites are not even viewed frequently. Think of a web site as an electronic newspaper. If you were going to advertise a product for sale in the newspaper would you get more calls from the high school newspaper or the one that was read by 75% of all residents? And with the web you can look at the specific section you want to. Factually speaking the newspaper does not have nearly as many homes in their database as most any Realtor’s web site. Why they can only show homes that brokers allow them to and study after study shows that people turn to Realtors for their information. So why look there. Quick fact (Realtor web sites out sell newspapers). Most buyers choose to view a Realtor web site.
